Background on the Awards
CECP's Excellence Awards in Corporate Philanthropy are among the most coveted awards in the field, drawing an extraordinary pool of applications each year. Previous awards winners include: Western Union, PNC Financial Services, GlaxoSmithKline, Moody's Corporation, salesforce.com, and many others.
Since 2000, CECP’s Excellence Awards in Corporate Philanthropy have been presented annually to companies demonstrating leadership in corporate giving. There are three corporate awards: the Chairman's Award (revenues equal to or greater than US$20bn), the President's Award (revenues between US$5bn and US$20bn), and the Founder's Award (revenues less than US$5bn).
CECP created the Directors’ Award in 2004 to recognize a distinguished nonprofit organization that has built a highly effective corporate partnership. The Directors’ Award includes a $25,000 cash donation made by CECP directors to the winning nonprofit.
Each year, applications are reviewed by a distinguished independent Selection Committee according to the Standards of Excellence in Corporate Giving: CEO leadership, innovation in their programs, dedication to measurement, and successful partnership with a nonprofit.
